Quizlet to Anki
Paste the text from Quizlet’s export box and download a file Anki imports in one step.

How to use the Quizlet to Anki
- 1 On Quizlet, open a set you made or may copy and choose Export, if it is offered.
- 2 Copy the text from the export box and paste it here.
- 3 Download the file, then in Anki choose File, Import.
How this works
Quizlet’s export gives you the terms and definitions as text, with a tab between them and a new line between cards by default. This tool turns that text into a file with Anki’s import headers. We do not fetch Quizlet links or copy sets from Quizlet’s servers: you paste what you exported, and it stays in your browser.
If you changed the export settings
Quizlet lets you pick other separators. If you chose a comma or a custom character between term and definition, or a semicolon between cards, set the same options on the right. A comma or semicolon inside a definition can split a card, so tab and new line are the safest choices.
What does not come across
The export is text only, so images, audio and your study progress stay on Quizlet. In Anki your cards start as new and the scheduler takes over from there.
Other people’s sets
Check that you may reuse a set before you move it, especially one that copies a textbook or a test bank. Sets you wrote yourself are always fine.
Quizlet to Anki FAQ
How do I move Quizlet flashcards to Anki?
Export the set from Quizlet, paste the text here and download the file. Then in Anki 2.1.54 or newer choose File, Import and select it. The note type, deck and columns are already set.
Can I paste a Quizlet link instead?
No. This tool does not scrape Quizlet. It works only with the text you copy from an export.
What if the set has no Export option?
Quizlet controls where the option appears. If you cannot export a set, this tool cannot read it. For a set you wrote yourself, you can also copy the terms into a spreadsheet and use the CSV to Anki tool.
Why did some cards split or merge?
Your separators probably appear inside the text. Export again with a tab between term and definition and a new line between cards, then paste it here.
Are my cards uploaded?
No. The conversion runs in your browser and nothing is sent to a server.
